Surfers Paradise Look Out!

Last Thursday night saw the crew from East Coast Car Rentals take to town for the first ever Staff Scavenger Hunt.

The idea of the night was for the teams to successfully take 15 photos of various places, people and scenes around the heart of Surfers Paradise. There were a few rules that seem to have thrown a couple of the teams, but on the whole, a great time was had and all of the staff got the opportunity to mix and mingle with people form other branches.

The night was concluded with dinner and a few drinks at the fabulous Alfresco Italian Restaurant where 'Roy's Rabble' took out the first prize ... way to go team!

It's that time of the year where we here in Surfers Paradise dress up (well, some of us) and head out to the track. Despite being known for their casual attire, the race days at the Gold Coast Turf Club are one reason to make even the most laid back Gold Coaster's cast aside the boardies and thongs to suit up.

Gold Coast Super GP - new Sponsor Needed

Just as everyone here at East Coast Car Rentals is getting excited about the upcoming Super Gp event on the Gold Coast, it seems to have hit a snag.

Previous naming sponsors Nitro, have been axed on the grounds that payment commitments have not been met, allegedly due to differences in shareholder opinion over the support of this major event for South East Queensland.

With nine weeks until the green flag and with set up already commencing on the track precinct, organisers scramble to secure a new sponsor in time for this inaugural hosting of the Super GP on the Gold Coast, since replacing the American based Indy Racing League's Gold Coast Indy.

We all have our fingers cross at our Surfers Paradise branch, located just 100 meters from the track, as the October carnival week is a fun and vibrant time in the heart of the Gold Coast.
